What is a Business Day?
A business day is any day from Monday to Friday, excluding weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Our calculator automatically excludes weekends when counting business days.
How is the Date Difference calculated?
Date difference is calculated as the absolute number of calendar days between the start and end dates, inclusive of the start date. For example, Jan 1 to Jan 3 is 3 days.
How does the Countdown Timer work?
Select a target date, optionally name the event (e.g., "My Birthday"), and click Start Countdown. The timer updates every second and shows days, hours, minutes, and seconds remaining.
Are US Holidays included in Business Days?
No. The Business Days calculator only excludes weekends (Sat/Sun). US federal holidays are shown separately for reference but are NOT automatically excluded from the business day count.
Can I use this tool on mobile?

Does the Countdown work for past dates?
Yes. If the target date is in the past, the countdown will show how many days have passed since that date, so you can use it as a "days since" calculator too!
